Vodice se nalaze u Šibensko-Kninskoj Županiji, na magistralnoj cesti Zadar - Šibenik - Split, oko 13 km zapadno od Šibenika. 
Bedemi starih Vodica iz 16. st. odavno su nestali u stvarnosti i metafori. Malo je tako otvorenih mjesta i tako živih turističkih sredina na Jadranu. Još prije pedesetak godina Vodičani su bili više težaci okrenuti zemlji nego ribari i pomorci okrenuti moru. Danas su potpuno okrenuti moru: žive od turizma i za turizam. I čuvaju svoje tradicije, a njihovi ljetni gosti uživaju u tom sretnom spoju prošlosti i sadašnjosti.

Duge šljunčane i pješčane plaže na zapadu i istoku grada, bogata turističko - ugostiteljska i trgovačka ponuda, razvijen kulturno zabavni život te brojni programi izleta, rekreacije i bavljenja sportom, čine turističku ponudu Vodica kvalitetnom i prepoznatljivom. Vodice su jedan od deset najvećih turističkih centara hrvatskog Jadrana, koji ostvaruje preko 500.000 turističkih noćenja u hotelima: Punta, Olympia, Imperial, Ville Gloriette, Kristina i Vodice, te u obiteljskim pansionima, apartmanima, sobama, odmaralištima, kampovima i moderno opremljenoj marini ACI, koja se nalazi u centru grada.

The fortress of the old Vodice from the 16th century had long ago disappeared, in the reality and metaphorically there are a few so open and so lively tourist resorts on the Adriatic Sea. 50 years ago the citizens of Vodice were mostly farmers oriented towards the land than fishermen or seamen who are directed towards the sea. Nowadays they are completely oriented towards the sea: they live on and from tourism. They preserve their traditions, and their summer guests enjoy this happy combination of the past and the present. Vodice is one of the ten biggest tourist centers at the Croatian Adriatic Sea which realizes over 500.000 tourist accommodations in hotels: Punta, Olympia, Imperial, Villa Gloriette, Kristina and Vodice, and in family pensions apartments and rooms, holiday resorts, camping places and the ACl marine, outfitted up- to-date and situated in the center of town. Long gravel and sand beaches in the west and in the east of the town, rich tourist and catering, as well as trade offer has developed cultural and entertaining life and numerous trip arrangements, recreation and sport activities make the tourist offer of Vodice outstanding and of very high quality.
